Varsha Gupta
Family Lawyer, Associate
My journey in law began with a B.A. LLB degree from Panjab University, followed by a post-degree diploma in Business Law from Douglas College. I honed my skills further through articles culminating in my call to the Ontario Bar. Prior to that, I had gained invaluable experience working directly at the High Court of India, where I handled a wide array of Criminal and Civil matters. My induction into the Law Society of British Columbia has further solidified my commitment to upholding the highest standards of legal professionalism. As a dual-qualified lawyer licensed to practice in British Columbia, Canada, and India, I have an extensive educational background and a wealth of legal experience to draw from in my role as an Associate at England Lam Family Law.
Since joining the legal profession, I have demonstrated proficiency in English, Hindi, and Punjabi, facilitating effective communication with a diverse range of clients. Before joining the firm, my practice encompasses various areas, with a focus on family law, wills and estates, and ICBC defense, where I actively contributed to drafting Chambers applications, participated in mediations, assisted with Trials, prepared offers to settle, and conducted client interviews. These experiences have shaped my comprehensive understanding of legal processes and allow me to provide a well-rounded perspective to assisting clients.
I approach each case with a client-centric mindset, striving to understand their unique perspectives and needs. This allows me to provide pragmatic solutions and develop strategic approaches that lead to impactful representation.
Outside of my legal endeavours, I enjoy cooking, exploring different places in Canada, and cherishing moments with my family.
