Jessica England

FAMILY LAWYER, CO-FOUNDER & PARTNER

Bold, warm, and experienced, I have practiced exclusively in the area of family law for almost ten years. I am known in the legal community for my honesty, integrity, and depth of legal knowledge. I am skilled in the most difficult and complicated areas of family law, including parental alienation, resistance and refusal dynamics, and relocation. I also have extensive experience dealing with complex financial assets as well as child and spousal support on self-employment and business income.

Before pursuing a particular course or strategy, I will explore all possible options with you to determine which approach best fits your situation and goals. In addition to traditional forms of litigation, I regularly use alternative dispute resolution methods ranging from mediation to arbitration, with excellent results. My primary objective is to ensure that the benefits of the approach you choose outweigh the costs, and to build effective and lasting solutions to your family law problems. I have a broad array of skills to draw from personally, as well. I am trained as a collaborative family lawyer and am certified by the Law Society as a family law mediator. I have extensive litigation experience at all levels of court in British Columbia, including the Provincial Court, Supreme Court, and Court of Appeal. I have completed extensive parenting coordination training and have a depth of knowledge in child psychology and the effects of separation on children and adults that informs my child-centered approach.

I enjoy learning about my clients and supporting them to achieve their diverse array of goals and aspirations, whether financial, emotional, or in terms of their family restructuring. If you are entering a new and daunting chapter in your life, or thinking about it, I would love the opportunity to speak with you about your concerns and what you need to move forward into a more positive and secure future for yourself and your loved ones.

Sincerely,

Jessica England
